How to set investor password in MT5 / MT4

Setting your MT5 or MT4 investor password is be done via the client portal

1.) log into the client area https://my.xbtfx.io/en/login 2.) Click 'Trade Accounts' then select the MT version of your trading account

3.) Click on the trading account number

4.) Select the settings icon , then select "Reset Password"

5.) Select View only Investor Password

After selecting proceed, you will then have the option to fill your own password, or have the system generate you one. Once completed you will recieve an email with the new password.

How to set a new, investor or master password inside the MT terminal and mobile ( MT5 & MT4 )

PC

In the MT4/MT5 desktop platform, click on the trading account number in Navigator panel and right click select – “Change password”. A pop-up window will appear, make sure to choose Change Investor (read-only) or Master, if you wish to change your current live password .

Alternatively you can also access the change password function on the desktop via top menu Tools/options tab: "Server"

Android

Go to menu / 'Manage Accounts' and log in to the account you wish to update password for. Then, click on the 3 dots on the top right and choose “Change password” . Select 'Change Investor Password' or Master and enter in your new password.

iOS

Go to setting and click on the account you wish to update password for. Then, click on the 3 dots on the top right and choose “Change password” . Select 'Change Investor Password' or Master and enter in your new password.
