What is an investor Password?

Your Investor password in MT5 is a second password to your trading account that will allow login to your account with trading disabled. This function is available so you can share you trading activity with friends, students or potential investors that want to review your trading.

Investor passwords are not automatically generated when creating a trading account.

In the MT5 desktop platform, click on the trading account number in Navigator panel and right click select – “Change password”. A pop-up window will appear, make sure to choose Change Investor (read-only) .

Alternatively you can also access the change password function on the desktop via top menu Tools/options tab: "Server"

Android

Go to menu / 'Manage Accounts' and log in to the account you wish to update password for. Then, click on the 3 dots on the top right and choose “Change password” . Select 'Change Investor Password' and enter in your new password.

iOS

Go to setting and click on the account you wish to update password for. Then, click on the 3 dots on the top right and choose “Change password” . Select 'Change Investor Password' and enter in your new password.
